On wings of change - part 3 !
So, I crossed the border... after pulling and pushing that huge fridge, a.k.a. my 40-kilo suitcase.
As soon as I set foot in Equator, an officer approaches me and says: papers, please... and I knew fun time was coming to me: They were gonna go through my stuff... and guess what? they did!
I was brought to a small closed room, a set of prepared questions were quickly and accutely tossed one after the other to me...Of course, as we say in spanish, if you have nothing to fear, you have nothing to hide, so I was collaborative with them. And of course, thanks to them my baggage was a huge mess inside...thanks again.
I left that small room, crossed a small street towards inmigration officer, and another guy asks me to open my suitcase, what the fuck! hehehe, and so, with a nice smile on my face ( a fake one ) I opened the bag and answer all the questions. Do I look like a mule? :p
Once at inmigrations, everything was clear and set. Got my things, took a cab, went to the bus station, which is like 15 minutes away by cab and costs like USD $3.5 and then, paid USD $4.5 for a bus ticket from Tulcan to Quito. After a 4 hours trip, I got to Quito, and Diana Castellanos (whom I met in last AxLDS) picked me up, and so, here I am!!
:) I'll stay here , and then, going to Guayaquil to visit some other old friends!! :)))
;) More details to come, stay tuned!
